A sauna should be a real investment for your home, converting your bathroom into a haven of relaxation, adding not only luxury but also value to your home. It is therefore really important that you take time to choose a sauna that is going to last, so here are a few points to consider when looking for your perfect sauna:

To make sure you are considering the best saunas for your money, always shop through a sauna specialist as they will be able to offer you a carefully select range that will offer the best in quality and service. Here at Simply Saunas, our directors personally inspect the products of more than 20 manufacturers worldwide (including all those now supplied by some competitors) before settling on the ranges we offer on the basis of consistent top quality, latest technology, reliable UK warranties and reasonable pricing.

Unfortunately you never quite know what will go wrong, so always ensure your product comes with a warranty. All our saunas include a 5-year Simply Saunas Warranty on all wood and glass, and 2 years on the CD player and electronics. If there are any faults with the sauna within this period, parts and simple replacement instructions will be sent out free of charge. After the warranty expires, we will continue supplying parts at cost price.

Make sure you take time to inspect the photograph carefully and the dimensions of the product. You don’t want to buy a sauna that is going to dominate your bathroom and allow no room for anything else. Also you need to make sure that at least a foot of space is available all the way round your new sauna to allow for easy installation.

Chose a retailer who has detailed images of their products online or who is happy for you to come and see the product in the showroom. Even if you can't make the trip to their showroom, it is reassuring to know a supplier is proud to show their product off. Simply Saunas is always more than happy for you to come and see our products in both our Morecambe and Tunbridge Wells.

Be sure to get hold of the installation requirements, such as the electrical needs, before you place your order. Although we do offer free installation with all of our products, should you have any installation queries prior to purchasing, our team are always on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Saunas can be difficult to install and should only be taken on by a competent DIYer or a professional joiner. This is why we include free delivery and installation with all our saunas. Our professionally trained installers will arrive at your house and assemble your sauna within 2 hours. They will make sure no packaging or installation debris is left in your house and will also give you a quick demonstration of the sauna functions and features before they leave.

Both the infrared and traditional saunas offer an experience in which to allow you to relax and gain the health benefits that saunas offer, but there are slight differences between the experiences which have brought about much debate! Some people enjoy the extreme temperatures and original methods used within the traditional saunas where the climate is everything. For those who don’t enjoy the very humid conditions of the traditional sauna, the infrared saunas offer a more comfortable experience. We have put a table together below to help you decide on which sauna is the one for you...

Maintenance
These will require occasional cleaning of the bench area with mild detergent soap and plenty of warm water. More thorough cleaning is required. As well as the bench area, the heater will need maintaining as well. Also the steam and warm environment can sometime encourage mould and rot if not maintained well.
Warm up times Usually around 15 minutes. Can take from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the sauna.
Sweat analysis 15 -20% toxins and 80-85% water 3-9% toxins and 95-97% water
Assembly Usually takes under an hour. Usually take under a couple of hours.
Running costs Most of the smaller saunas run off your standard power supply and use less energy than a standard hairdryer. Some of the larger saunas need the kW supply increasing, although this still only has a similar output to that of a clothes dryer. You would probably be looking at a month costs of around £2-3 pounds, depending on usage. All the traditional saunas will need an increase in kW for them to run off and depending on the size and usage can increase you electricity bills from around £20 or more a month.
